Lenovo Pocket Projector Up comming Gadget
Following a good CES 2015 , Lenovo is showing no signs of slowing down. Along with a couple of new smartphones and tablets, Lenovo also took the wraps off a device that can prove to be very useful for a lot of people, the Lenovo Pocket Projector, with its name that is as functional and self-explanatory as it gets. We were able to spend some time with this device, and here is a quick look as we go hands on with the Lenovo Pocket Projector at MWC 2015!
Looking around the device, up top is the navigation keys to move through all your various content and pause or play your videos. On the left and right sides are the dual speaker setup, that should allow for a good audio experience while viewing media. The pico projector comes with a 50 lumens bulb, with a maximum projecting size of 110-inches, before the quality starts to deteriorate, and a resolution of 854 x 480. The projector part can also be rotated up to 90 degrees, to help get the best angle while watching any videos.
In terms of battery life, the Pocket Projector can last for as long as 2.5 hours on a single charge. The device itself is quite compact and light weight at just 170 grams, making it very portable. It is compatible with any Android smartphone or tablet running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and above, and you can project your media wirelessly through this device via DLNA or Miracast or by just plugging your device into the microUSB port on the projector. You also have the option to store any media locally, with the availability of a microSD card slot, which supports microSD cards with a capacity up to 32 GB.
Of course, this isn’t Lenovo’s first foray into the portable projector territory, with the Yoga Tablet 2 Profeaturing an in-built pico projector, but this is the company’s first portable projector solution that is compatible with almost any smartphone or tablet out there. This is also not as packed with a variety of features and functions as is the case with the ZTE SPro 2, but is also the significantly cheaper of the two. Priced at $199, the Lenovo Pocket Projector will be available globally very shortly.
